ahh...oui

christmas break (or winter break for the politically correc freaks out thurr) is here foos.
so lets see here:
December 21st: Holiday party with asian ppl. Had to play a horny bald guy in charades...
December 23rd: football with ndn guys and some others. our team lost...but it was fun neway
December 24th-25th: Here's a great way to spend ur Christmas day: drive down to austin temple
to sing arathi with white ppl, eat south indian food, and walk around on 240 acres of seclusion.

December 27th: Went to see 40-year old virgin with nish and hersch. There were more old peope there
than in the nursing homes. Haha except for this one indian family with a 3-year old kid. Every other
minute the girl would go "oo bad word!" and the parents would hush her up.
December 29th: Telegu kids came and ransacked the house.

so umm our holiday break is drawing to a close. i jus want everyone to appreciate all they have and
not take take the aloo parathas and rasgullas for granted.

Lots of things been happening since my last update. It is now December and things are pretty festive.Except in the whap room and in science fair. I can still hear James's voice and Navid's "bueno"in my sleep. Last couple of weekends have been pretty fun. Sara's and Karina's party was last week. Pretty fun except more people should have danced instead of lighting up. Parents wouldn't let me go today.Sorry Saumya .

Blackout

Today was truly the best. With ten mintues left in 3rd period WHAP, the class lights flickered off and stayed off. NAvid and Andrew frantically finished their quizzes with the lights on theircellphones. The class moved into the new building where we hung out for an hour or two. The schoolentered lockdown mode with teachers regulating the direction of the students. Mr. Fain went after this kid with a jersey but by the time Mr Fain turned the corner he was on the other side of thebuilding. So school finally let out and I got a ride with Anisha. Propz to her for letting me stayat her house since mr sen forgot his keys.

Last Monday was Mole Day. One of the greatest Mondays (except for this one that is). Shehzan, Sayon, and I were ying yang triplets. Dont ask lol. Lot of good costumes and good food. Here are a couple pics:

Wednesday went to party city with herschel and his family. Picked out this ghetto robe in like 10 minutes and then rushed out. Went to herschel's to listen to him play guitar. hes pretty good. this is for him:

Saturday was sarah's thing. Pretty fun with a lot of white ppl and rika. haha isaac's system was boomingso loud the stairs were shaking. sarah's skanky costume and drew's shirtlessness fit the occasion Saw tyler and helen from jasper, two peeps i havnt seen since 8th grade.

12 hours left in fall break

wussup guys, yea me that fall break is over. o well not like it was crunk off da hook or anything. (most of yall prolly know why). last couple of weeks have been certainly interesting:

finally finished english project over a portrait of the artist as a young man. ddnt read past third paragraph, but it wasnt necessary for this proj tell me if u wanna see it (pink floyd and conservative Christian ideaology mixed together)

Went to Cici's with Korok and Neema afterschool. (originally for laser, but those foos arrived 20minutes later) i swear half the school and getting in was a bitch. ddnt eat too much but korokcleaned house.

Durga Puja was this weekend for those enlightened hindu souls who know what it is. Friday was spenttaping a renowned Bengali artist (not too good if you ask me). Yesterday, we jus fooled around Sheptonwhile the puja went on (damn they got windows!). Korok was there for the first time.

1st six weeks over...

damn Whap is such a bitch. i personally attest to having spent the last two weeks sleeplessdue to the insane amount of work. we managed to pull off a good english proj in a couple days.it wouldnt have been that bad if there hadn't been a dbq, mind map, test, and comparative empire project for whap. It's all good now since its 3-day weekend and fall break coming up soon .

A couple weekends ago, I met up with Sai, Arjun, Sameer, and Pragnya at the park. We took on some juniors and seniors in football. We got whopped but it was ok since it took three guys totake down one dude. Fun nonetheless

Southlake tourney last weekend. We got to skip school friday and had lunch at pei wei.i started out first time in debate...ddn't know what the hell i was doing, but ddnt do too bad.The team screwed around as usual while little manchanda was checkin out sum indian actresseson his laptop. Congrats to all those who placed and broke.

labor day weekend

The past couple of weeks have gone by really fast. School has been a whore as usual crammingas much work down our throats as possible. Burchbitch gets mad at me and Korok every class forspeaking bengali and at Dr. Punjabi for his BALLE BALLE. Perry has constantly sucked at teaching for the four weeks that I have had her. Lynch doesn't stop talking while we space outand do other homework.

Speech tournament last Saturday was a lot of fun. I placed 4th in FX (ddn't go to semis )and had a no-show for prose. Congrats to Shyam and Arvin for breaking to semis in duet acting, toAnya for going to semis in NLD, and to Ankita for getting 2nd place as a speaker. Bala and I had a nice long convo around campus. Me and herschel wasted the whole going around pshs and watching people. Here's what we saw

hokay, so...

the past two weeks have most definitely been interesting. getting readmitted into the prison most def has been tizzite. here's the ranking of my teachers:

fain: simply the beast. no doubt owns his jasper dixiecrat counterpart.
smith: quite a pleasant alternative to henry auntie. is blonde and talks about her family a lot
timaru: still the same teacher that likes to teach kids french
burchfiel: seems pretty nice. seems to get annoyed a bit wid our brwn corner
bambanek: this woman is crazy, but also a good teacher
lynch: nice man, but teaching is not his thing
perry: hiding diet cokes behind the white curtain won't save u

i finally dipped cold steel on my virgin cheeks. there was frankly no way around it as everyone forced me into it. i wouldn't say i look so differant.

i got to see mike agn yesterday and a bunch of ppl that I wouldn't get to normally see. i personally am not sure if the world is ready for mr. lu being 15, but it'll work out .

n life is pretty good rite now.

awaz do...india is great

^the above-mentioned sign is painted on almost every bus in the subcontinent. our flight
rolled into DFW at 1 in the morning today. the trip was sweet but most def too short.
we stayed a night in gurgaon and in agra. ive nvr seen so many sardars and the taj was
beast. then it was onto kolkata to see my family.(u know u should start shaving when your
bengali relatives call u "lil bin laden"). we then took a train down to vishakapatnam to
to see my aunt. the telegu-english was especially hard to decipher. the city is beautiful
nonetheless. getting back was a real pain cuz of the mumbai floods. we took an early flight
just to be safe. our connecting flight in new york had already departed by the time we
finished baggage claim. so we dragged our asses to La Guardia to board the last available
for the day.

i'll post my schedule as soon as i get it today. school starts in a couple days. crap.

back...for a day

the past 17 days traveling with some of the best kids and adults have been simply amazing.i spent five days traveling to and from North Carolina and five days at the camp there. Thescenery is simply spectacular and the people are awesome. i came bak for a night and left for NYLT up at camp james ray the next day. for one week, i lived and bonded with guys i had never seen before(sorta the objective of the camp) and found out what a small world we live in.

some of the ppl ive met:
a home schooled buddhist white kid who is afraid of dirt, sun, bugs, etc.
an amateur disc jockey who can do a mean star wars remix
an azn who can't tell the differance between indians and pakistanis
2 kids from oak cliff that like fried chikin
a north carolinian whose mom gives him a mohawk

the geographically disoriented:
sean: wat's bengali
me: ppl that originate from the indian state of west bengal or the nation of bangladesh
sean: so ur pakistani rite?

the culturally confused:
drew: are u pakistani?
me: no im ndn
drew: so ur hindu?
me: yea
drew: so ur mom must have her nose pierced?
